    22% bf?

I bought one of those bodyfat scales (cheap-o from target) and it says I'm between 19-23% bf. Is this accurate?

True, I'm more interested in tracking changes than absolute numbers. BTW, easy for you to say when you're ripped!

I've never had a BF% done tho... i go by the mirror.

Or get someone to look at me... as someone always sees something you may miss.

15% for bulking IMO is good. I was gonna buy one of those scales but it said that it didnt work bodybuilders or certain kind of athletes. if you can see your abb's I say you r ahead of the game

I purchased on of those Tanya bf scales. I've been on the ketosis diet for a week and just shedding lbs and the bf scale started at 25% bf and now it's at 31% that's totally impossible, im ready to throw it out cause i find it depressing when it's not accurate

    Angry Bulls**t!

Yup, this scale is worthless. Hopped on it: 21%bf, hopped on it with a heavy book in my hand: 23.8%bf. What a scam....

Look like 15 to 17% which is expected good shape middle aged male. (Not fat by any stretch of imagination). Strange on me those electronic body fat scales tend to low-ball my body fat lower then trainer at gym using calipers.

You should know anything causing water retension including being dosed up on creatine will cause false reading on those electronic body fat monitors. You should be off cycle and off creatine for 3 months before its accuracy improves.

If you are loosing more then 2 lbs a week you are loosing muscle, so maybe not so inaccurate. Got to be careful with diet and exercise.

I know someone who was really big (300 lbs and 50% body fat) and he went on 3 hours a day of spinning classes, powerpump, endless areobics and weight training and 7 days a week, the overtraining cost him dearly on muscle. Plus he also went on a total vegan diet but anyways - so far lost 40 lbs of fat and 45 lbs of muscle... so now at 215# his body fat percentage is not all that different still. If he took it off slower and more intellegently he could be all built and respectable body fat percentage. SO sometimes you can be pleased to see weight come off the scale but is it really what you want to happen in the long run?
