I think this question was asked when we first set up this forum.

Ju Jitsu - Muay Thai kickboxing

I thought Vale Tudo is simple a combination of kickboxing/jujitsu

Not really, its a pure MMA combining anything you have in your arsenal. I think a good background is M.T. with either JJ, BJJ or Judo.

I fight kickboxing in the medium to long range and find getting into the clinch is hard for me. Although Judo should make that somewhat comfortable with good take downs, it doesn't work for me!. I'd rather go for a knockout from a strike than roll around on the ground with an opponent.

Yoga can be very impressive for flexibility, posture re-ajustement and general Health.

Its not a hi-jack. Classes here in Ireland are very cheap. Most cost members from 3-5 Euro (about $5 max) a class. Black belts don't pay anywhere.

My bestfriend called me today because he wants to get into amateur fighting. He's awesome. He's gonna start his Kempo training again and asked me if I was interested. He said it would be about $60 a month. Is that pretty good?

judo, wrestling, boxing, and kajukembo which is a cross between karate, jiu-jitsu, kempo, and eastern boxing.
