    Barbell Row question

Which way is a better overall mass movement.? I usually switch it up just to hit both angles, but which is better overhand or underhand grip??

Over hand, you get a better ROM.

    OVERHAND!!!!!!

it works more back and lats.

elbows are able to flare out more and you can bring bar to higher contraction position (ie above bellybutton) while with underhand you cant

    plus works on grip strength

Dorian Yates was probably the first guy that made the underhand
grip really well known... Suppose to hit your lower lats harder that
way, but I've never felt comfortable using it... I'd stick with the
overhand grip unless you want to experiment with how it effects
    your lower lat growth...

Use underhand if you wish to hit your bi's at the same time.

the overhand grip allows me to contract the mid/lower portion of traps with a much greater intensity. the overhand grip also places more stress on the upper portion of my lats.

Doesn't the overhand also work the triceps as a secondary group?

I choose to do underhand because when I work my back I also work my bis.

The triceps are not worked when doing barbell rows.

you should try to isolate your back, if you're feeling like you're getting a shoulder workout from this exercise, your form is off!
