This is for you guys out there that press 500 +... How long after you pressed 400 did you get 5? I don't know if I'll ever see it, but that is my goal. Just curious, I know it's kinda a doofer question

All as i have to say is that i takes time. The higher u go the heavier it gets, even 5lbs more seems like 50. I don't think i'll ever be pushing 500, or close to that.
Are you talkin' about Flat benchin?
yeah flat bench.
it took me quite a while bro. just keep chopping away at it and it will come. dont try to rush it or you will end up hurt. this is not a sport for the impatient.

Totally right, it all takes time!!! I've been at a steady plateau for about 6 months, and that's just benching 185! But you just have to realize you have your good days and your shit days. Bare with it, take your time and you shall be rewarded
I'll be happy if I can ever bench 315 (3 plates)!!!
I questioned putting this question up at all...didn't want to look impatient. I figure it is going to take me years to get there, but I will...
oh yea bronco, you will get there if you stick with it. i remember when i could do 185 for about 3. 225 seemed like it would never come! then it did, and 275 seeemed yesrs away, but i got it. then, the big 315! but, i got it! i got well over 400lbs without any gear at all, just a bunch of rusty free weights and alot of carbs! so, dont ever say never. you have to concieve it, then beleive it before you can acheive it. but, i guarantee you if you dont give up, you will most definately acheive whatever you set your mind to. anything less than 100% confidence is simply not acceptable. beleive it, then set out to doing it brother.
KEV u monster! F@ck thats awesome...thats motivation
thanks for the encouragement, it's motivation coming from you.
just the truth brother.![]()
BigKev maybe you get tired of hearing it, but brother, you are "Da Man"![]()
yes, he is.
I got 405 without using gear. Then went to the EQ for 10 weeks and went to 425. Didnt loose any of that but also could't get past it either. Went on Test 200 for 12 weeks and got to 440 and when I came off, Then I lost a little strength. I am finishing a cycle of test200/deca and am no up to 450 as of last week, I will probably go for 460-475 in 2 weeks and see if I can get it. All this probably took well over a year for 45-50 lb increase on my bench.
