Do roids work for everyone?

Do steroids not work for some people? My brother is trying juice for the second time and is not having very much luck. He is taking 500 mg of test E and 400 mg of deca a week. He is currently on week 5 and has not gained any more than a couple of pounds. He eats 6 clean meals and gets adequate amounts of protein, carbs, and calories. The roids are real cause I gained 20 lbs. off a lesser dosage. Just don't know why it's working for him.

He might eat clean, but is he really getting close to 4000 clean calories? On that note, Yes, they do effect everyone different. I am a VERY VERY hard gainer. I can take doses up to 2g of Test and not gain one ounce of water weight nor run into any sides. Everyone will react differently...................

weight gain also depends on what muscle groups your working out. if your not doing your quads, hammy, chest, and back then i dont think you will ever be able to gain more then 10-15 pounds a cycle. If you work upper body only expect a 12 pound gain and thats only if you bust your ass.

They do work for all people... the extent to which they 'work' is individualistic at best.

Numerous factors influence the 'how'...and 'how much'

Genetics...training...diet...(the synergy between the three) etc are some of the main factors

You say he's on his second cycle?

What were the doses/duration/compounds of his first cycle?

How many years training did he have prior to his first cycle?

How much did he weigh prior to commencing?

How much did he gain?

The fact that you gained 20 lbs and he's only gained a couple (a couple pounds of 'what' you did not state: water/muscle/fat) may be testimony to the veiw that you were further away from your genetic potential than he.

usually the more commited the trainer the better the result. eg.those that put the hard work in on squats rows deads and eat the required calories benefit most,however and unfortunately for some genetics play the biggest role..but in this case it sounds like a nutrition problem ,because you and your brother have the same genetics,and if you put on 20 pounds your brother should be able to make similar gains ,its one of three things here ,fake roids , bad diet, poor training, as long as your brother has no medical condition that is ...

he is getting close to four thousand i think. I dont watch him eat that is what he tells me. he does train hard but doesn't go heavy on squat, bench, and deadlift like i did. he has been working put for 8 years before starting roids so he has a good natural base but I'm just stumped why he can't gain anything.

Let me add my 2 cents if i could

1) sleep, I hadn't heard that mentioned yet, but it is Essential. and lots of it.

2) Diet, he probably just started eating clean as soon as he started juicing, right? If thats the case he may be eating more than he did before, but his calories could be less.

3) training, he may be training more than he did before which you thinnk would help, but thats not always the case. He very well could be burning up more calories cause he's training longer/ harder/ exc.

the bottom line is this. physical law. If you eat more calories than you use you will gain weight, if you eat less you will loose weight. with or without juice.

Thats a good point that he might not be eating as many calories as he did before he started. well I'll tell him to eat some food and get enough sleep brcause I know he doesn't get enough of that. thanks bros.
