Also would you take open gear that may have leaked a small bit over the last 6months???

IMHO, no. No b/c it may have lost it's potency, it will not be 100%, so you really don't know how much of the gear you're getting.
and no to your second question, b/c if it leaked through an opening it means it got exposed to the bactera in the air. Dont want any of that in my body.

Even if it were free I wouldnt inject the one that is leaking.

The 1 year part doesn't bother me too much. I definitely would stay away from the leaking one. It's sterility is compromised.

I've used gear (tablets) that was past it's expiration date and had been stored in warmer then recomended temperature most of the time and it still worked the same, i don't think it ever looses potency unless something ridiculous like 5 years after it expired, maybe then it wouldn't work..

if it's leaking and an inj., you will get an infection
