Okay..so the majority of the time my goal is to "bulk". I know that I should keep my protein intake up to 1.5 or 2g per pound of bodyweight...but I was wondering if carbs were close or as beneficial in weight gain as protein?

Some would say they are even more beneficiall, wit just large amounts protein its impossible to gather enough calories that are needed to add major amounts of muscle mass![]()
short answer to that is yes u need to up the carbs.
