i never shave against the grain...neither do i shave too regularly.

I find with body hair (unlike facial hair), the more i shave...the more likely i am to get ingrown hairs

if your prone to those bumps, you my friend, have sensitive skin , get Aloe shaving cream, shave in one direction, and when your done, put some Tea Tree lotion on, you'll be good as new

My son's like the Mach 3 with batteries. I usually shave their backs when their girlfriends aren't around to help or do the nair thing. (gee how many mom's really admit to that) Never get any bumps, guess it's just that mothers touch!

I get chemical burns with nair and other hair removers...if you've got sensitive skin i'd advise you stay away from hair removers...even the ones that claim to be 'gentle'

I shave in the shower with regular shaving cream. Never get razor burn or ingrown hairs. My hair is not that thick though.

I use a shaving cream heater which helps to open up your pores. U can get them at walmart or whatever. Also the mach 3 power razor. Make sure to clean the razor after each stroke or 2 with hot water. Hair stuck in there can cause irritation on the next stroke. Then afterwards use Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear - Deep Action Cream Cleanser. This stuff is amazing at stopping ingrown hairs and irritation breakouts from shaving. Use anywhere u shave with a blade. Just my 2 cents.
