    Who is your hero (bodybuilding)

Who do you want to model yourselves after?
Due to my size and body type, mine is definitely Franco Columbu. I have all his books. I have no idea how long it will take to emulate him, but I'm working on it. I'd move to any part of the country just to get trained by somebody who knew him!
I want to know who everybody else looks to, Ladies as well.

Frank Zane, Bob Paris. Symmetry and proportion are my goals.

I just never have gotten into the blown-out look of some of today's giants. More power to them, though, it's what they like. There sure seems to be a market for it.

Hey guys call me an old foggie, but I think that Lou Faringno will always be my hero. must be the years of watchin the Incredible Hulk.... I think he and Arnold brought BBing out into the open and made it the sport that it is today. JMO.

Bob Paris.....not only was he a great bodybuilder, but he also had the guts to say what he thought and be open about who and what he was.

    Good man.

Lou Ferrigno, but unfortunately I am a few inches shorter than he is so I will never be the beast that he was.

The only man to ever defeat Arnold for the Mr. O...Sergio Oliva.

His wheels aren't the best...but back then nobody had really good legs.

I think this pose is one of the best I've ever seen.
    Sergio Oliva

Arnold is Great. Lou is Great. Frank Zane is Great. Franco looked up to Bill Pearl, Bob Paris, and Sergio Oliva(he noted Sergio as the perfect bodybuilder-thanx for the pic, Dizzy, I've never seen that one). Gunter is definitely one of the best guys you could ever meet.
I've watched Pumping Iron I & II more than 100 times, and I'd be a fool not to ad Ed Corney to the list!
As for the girls- Rachel Mc Lish is top choice for sex-sellers,
but for the hardcore Irongirls- Carla Dunlap and Bev Francis were definitely a fierce beginning.

Another of my favorites is Gladys Portugues from Pumping Iron II. I don't know if she ever won any titles, but she co-wrote Superpump with Corrie Everson. ..

Lou Ferrigno made me want to start BB watching the Incredible Hulk reruns when I was little. Watching the Strongman I'm a big Svend Karlson fan who was a pro BB & now a strongman champ, that's my inspiration today...
