Your last sentance is precisely why this rule should be part of typical board ettiquette. While some dont know they are doing it, many use this as a way to fish for sources. Now, after a comment like this is stated, some may post with questionable agendas and lead to potential scams, etc.
It is fine to talk about prices, just with the right approach in the right setting.
Ideally, moderators and senior members would love to see junior members building their reputations and relationships via posting helpful constructive posts. From there they should be able to utilize the private messaging function of this board and find out what a buddy who they may have lended a hand to earlier pays for his bd cyp or whatever.... what goes around comes around
