    Consider this Idiocy

    US-Außenministerin Condoleezza Rice, die selbst aus dem betroffenen Bundesstaat Alabama stammt, dankte Fischer nach Angaben seines Sprechers in einem Telefongespräch. Sie wollte US-Präsident George W. Bush über das deutsche Hilfsangebot unterrichten. Rice habe betont, dass sie nicht zögern werde, auf das Angebot der Bundesregierung zurückzukommen. Ein offizielles Hilfsgesuch aus Washington lag bis zum späten Donnerstagnachmittag nicht vor.

    US Foreign Minister Condoleezza Rice, who originates from the State concerned, Alabama, thanked Fischer according to data of his speaker in a telephone call. It wanted to inform US president George W. Bush about the German offer of help. Rice stressed that she will not hesitate, to return to the offer of the Federal Government. An official request for aid from Washington was not present up to the late thursday afternoon.

    The US was offered help from Germany to helf with the Katrina Hurricane disaster, but has yet to reply! How long will it take for them to realize that they need help?

    The link might not still be present because the story is three days old...I couldn't find it yesterday at the first place I found it, but it still exists
