Do you guys use a super wide grip when doing wide grip lat pulldowns?

When you guys do wide grip lat pulldowns, do you guys use a super wide grip, like lets say...where your hands are at the very end of the bar? Or do you use a shoulder width grip where your hands are lets say...where the bar curves?

not to wide it kills the range of motion.....I like to feel the pre, stretch..

I use wide-grip lat pulldowns when I'm looking to make the lats do more of the work (if lats are lagging behind the biceps). This will lead to a reduction of resistance. The closer you move your hands in, the more the biceps will assist in the movement. This will also mean increased resistance.
Watch out for the wide-grip, though. Not everyone can tolerate the extreme ROM at the shoulder joints.

that looks pretty good. basically you want the arm to adduct in exactly the same direction that the lats spread outwards and upwards when you raise your arm. obviously not too wide to destroy your shoulders, but the right width for the lats to pull in the exact line of the muscle insertion and origin (probably 15 degrees off the midline plane of the body)

I grab the bar where it starts to curve. Anyone else use a grip like me?

It really depends on the length of the lat bar you are using. Some are longer than others. If you're using a medium-length lat bar, I use the grip that you described. I describe this grip as a medium-grip (not really a wide-grip). This grip gives you a good distribution between the lats and biceps.
