If you're looking for definition in the abdominal region and if you wish to lose the love handles, excercises won't really help. They will build the abs, but will not define them. For that you need CARDIO!
you can do all the ab work you want but if your bodyfat is not low enough it will never show, do some cardio. most people with great abs dont even work them out they just stay lean.
i hope your not one of those 300 pounders who spends 45 mins doing abs, if they would do 45 mins of cardio they would have abs by now
For abs, my favorite exercise is the db heavy crunch on a stability ball (feet anchored with twice the weight that is on your chest). It will give you an excellent pre-stretch in the abs. For obliques, my favorite exercise is the db side bend. Both exercises allow for maximum resistance.
Cardio bro all the way, ab workouts do nothing to bring it out, only make it look more defined and shaped.

agree with all above. you cant spot reduce fat. all the crunches in the world wont help if your diet sucks and you dont do your cardio.
Also you can work on your lats and back more! With huge wings it will give the illusion that you sides are thinner!
