    Crystal light/Tea - Count towards H20 intake?

    Hey bros,

I get tired of just drinking water. Can unsweetened tea or crystal light, etc. be considered towards you water intake for the day. I drink about 1 gallon of water by itself, but looking for something different to add to water intake. Let me know your thoughts.

    peace,

    ttgb

Not at all? Does tea/Cyrstal light hurt you in anyway? Kidneys, etc.

The general rule of thumb is that you can count such beverages as part of your water intake as long as it doesn't contain caffeine or alcohol.

I drink unsweetened tea or crystal light all the time bro. I don't count it as water but I drink it just to get a change. MMMMM love that crystal light.

I would say No, I used to drink diet soda and kool aid and count it as fluid intake, I did this very early on, novice hood. I now try to get 1 1/2 gallons of pure H2O down every day. Its up to 3 the last week before a show. I still drink Kool Aid and Soda with the water up until the last 4 days. But I'm always sure to get in my prescribed H2O

well i am up to three gallons a day, and without crystal light i would go insane, i have been using half the amount, 1 crystal light container in a gallon instead of a half gallon and it really helps.

no no no no no. sorry for being so brash. as was explained so many time by my biology teacher: water is water - anything added changes it so that its absorption and properties change - thus altering the very benefits you are drinking water for - purity

1 gallon is a realistic goal, I think that your doing well drinking one gallon. Alot of my BB bros settle for one gallon a day, anymore is a plus

Caffine dehydrates you, just like alcohol. Water-Drink it, Love it, Live it.
