Thats a throw I use alot myself. Only thing I find is that if you get it wrong, or it doesn't work for whatever reason it takes alot out of you and leaves me pretty gassed.

That guy looked like he was a few inches from messing up his neck pretty bad. Bouncer, what type of injuries have you sustained in Judo? Have you seen anyone get dropped on their head and what was the result?

Good point, I used it last night in training and was told it wouldn't count in competition (I'm competing this Sunday) as it was more of a wrestling throw.

You asked about injuries. Thankfully nothing too serious for me, I've two pretty messed up knee's, my left knee needs three wraps for training. Other than that its the usual cuts and bruises for me. I haven't broken anything, but I've seen a few breaks in other guys.

Update. I won silver today. A member from the board was there to watch me fight 'Transform', he doesn't use this M.A. forum. I'll post some photos later, for some reason the computer isn't reading the card from my camera.

Yes, but I had to fight in the open class as there was no competitors in my weight classs. Nearest one was 100kgs, 17.5kgs lighter than me.

Wow judo does have some nice throws, congrat on the silver medal great pick.

Sucks that you add to compete in the open division, happed has well in TKD they would often mix the heavyweights and middleweight togheter since there was so fewer heavyweights.

The judo outfits GI are pertty cool too.
