Thread: Back Day

    Back Day

    Here's my training split
    Day 1; back, biceps
    Day 2; chest, triceps, calves
    Day 3; rest
    Day 4; quads, hamstrings
    Day 5; traps, shoulders
Days 6 and 7; rest or cardio

My question is this; will deadlifts on back day hit my traps too hard if I intend to do traps on day 5 (behind the back barbelll shrugs and dumbell shrugs)?

I would say its trial and error, its the same with cheat and triceps, it may work for you, it may not for others, give to time see how it goes, I do my traps Monday, and shoulders Friday, it seems to be fine for me....

Only you will be able to know for sure. If you have good recovery capacity, then you should be fine. If your numbers (reps, lbs., etc.) start going down, then you haven't recovered adequately. Give it a shot and see how it goes.
