    Legumes/beans and grains

some examples of legumes are lentils and yellow/soy beans

but how important are they in your diet and when should you eat them?

i am asking because i have been buying tines of Flangelots (or something like that) and they apear to have very little fibre in - but also no sugar/fat

would they be appropriate to have with a pro/fat meal?
would there carb value have to be added to your total daily carbi ntake value or are they similar to veggies?

Legumes are a great source of Low GI carbs, they most certainly would be added as part of a carb meal. Lentils, Beans, etc.... Make great choices.

I'd say it would depend on how much fat we are talking, some EFA's and legumes will not be much harm.
