Anybody have a good substitute for 'Behind the neck Shoulder Press' to still focus on shoulders?
I can't do any pushes behind my neck anymore do to a bum shoulder.

Try standing barbell military presse...

Sorry, should have clarified...I can't do any overhead presses at all. Just looking for an exercise (s) that might be able to get similar results w/o the strain
You probably have that bum shoulder due to behind the neck shoulder presses
can you not do some front, side and rear raises?
can u not do them infront of your neck
Sometimes dropping the angle of an adjustable works well for shoulder presses. The angle is between vertical and the 45 degree angle, commonly used, for incline pressing.
If this is out, stick with wide-grip upright rows for the medial delts. Side laterals, usually will not allow you to pack on the same amount of muscle mass as wide-grip upright rows.
Your chest work should cover the anterior deltoids.
that's what I'm thinkingOriginally Posted by Decadbal

Awesome...thanks for the input...I think I'll go with the wide grip upright rows for a while, since I'm already doing frnt,sd and B.O. raises
incline shoulder presses is how I think i got my slight tear in my rotator cuff.Originally Posted by chest6

I was recommending it to Baller9. I always start my workout off with "Arnold Presses". It's a great exercise for anyone who has hurt their shoulder that hits your anterior and side delts.
Here's a cool article in Flex Magazine about exercises you should avoid. It lists behind the neck barbell presses in it.

so having a slight tear in my rotator cuff you think it would be good for it.Originally Posted by Smak
