Xavier will fight UEFA over drugs suspension

I found this article in my local newspaper a few weeks ago :

"Abel Xavier will formally appeal against his 18 months drugs ban. The 32 year old Middlesborough defender will become the first premiership player to test possitive for performance enhancing drugs when a routine test showed traces of dianabol - known as 'The king of steroids'"

There was a bit more in the article but just goes to show that these people have not got a clue.

I never heard any soccer player bein bustad for dbol before. its usually nandrolone they use.
i know Stam and Davids both got caught for nandrolone. i think Ferdinand too.
i know Maradona got caught wit ephedrine during '94 WC.

if he doesnt get his time reduced he might as well quit. he's gettin old.
