White Fina Recipe Question

I attempted using the baron's method for crystal fina and failed somehow. I'm now trying notacow's method, but his method calls for methyl alcohol or HEET. When i stocked up for baron's method, i bought benzyl alcohol. So I was wondering if i could use benzyl alcohol instead of methyl alcohol?

Also wondering if i could use benzyl benzoate in the place of the "magic solution" from the finakit????

sorry bro,
i never caught your question the first time around. do an advanced search for white fina with threads by sv-1 or harvey balboner. harvey balboner started the thread if i'm not mistaken, but sv-1 posted the actually recipe.
