likelihood for abscess

my friend was trying to inject his own glute and tells me that about .1-.2 of the oil based steroid probably went into the sub cutaneous portion of his butt
dont ask me how he did it i guess he pulled it out while still pressing on the plunger or some shit but he says everything looks ok what do u think is the chances something might happen? it was like his second time poking that ass cheek ever so its a very fresh spot just a little bit of the juice probably went in too shallow and missed the muscle

he did it this morning and he says everything looks and feels perfect, only a little trickle of blood came out when he pulled the pin out also

how often are abscesses caused by small deposits of oil in the layers between the muscle and skin?
from my understanding they are usually caused by injected too much too frequently into the same muscle but i know that if you miss a muscle and inject like a cc of oil that that will definitely also cause an abscess
