What the hell is wrong with me...

For some BS reason, my left shoulder joint hurts like hell after trying to train it for about a month. It is not a muscle thing, it is a weird bone thing. It feels like my shoulder joint is not designed properly or the bones arent strong enough or something pathetic like that, but it is really ****ing me up. if i payed for a doctor visit, would he offer anything other than stop working out, eat better, or work out lightly?

the thing thats really pissing me off is its ALWAYS been this way. in 8th grade working out with a friend it did this same thing. it feels like im seriously harming myself, its scary and annoying as hell at the same time

    any thoughts?

    EDIT:
In 8th grade we did shoulder press with free weights, behind the head. now (12th grade) i use a machine, similar to this one:

sounds like you maybe could have a bone spur if you feel the pain in only certain positions then it very well could be be more specific about the pain and when you feel it thanks

p.s. this should be in injury/rehab forum

Go and see a physiotherapist, they are good at pinpointing problems like yours, if they determine its a bone thing then go and see an oethopedic surgion. And by the way, behind neck press is THE WORST excercise anybody could ever do !!!!!

Yeah don't mess around have it looked at. I had problems with shoulders and still do if I try and shoulder press in a vertical motion. I work just outside the vertical plane and i am having no problems.
