    4874 Kcals????

    OK after using more than a few calorie calculators I guess i need about 4800 cals just to maintain my weight. Is this possible?? It seems rediculous to me? I am 6'4" 210. If this is true then it could be why I am having trouble putting on weight. I am eating about 3500-4000 kcals a day. I have a full time job that requires me to be walking around at a brisk pace all day and pick up and carry heavy boxes. On top of that I lift three days a week for about an hour and a half and take karate three days for an hour and a half. Right now I am eating about 200-300 grams of protein day with moderate carbs and fat. If I want to gain weight I guess I will have to eat about 5300 cals a day? How do I go about this? Should I up the protein or carbs or fat or all of them?

    by the way i am completely natural. I have decided not to touch steroids for a couple of years (until I am older and have a better base).

    Calorie calculator is wrong. BMR should be around 2400 and daily intake with your physical job should probably be around 3500. Just a guess...

    i'd have to agree with chest, but ur a big guy so it could be slightly higher than his guess but around 4 might be high...IMO

    ok thanks. i thought that number sounded rediculous. i feel sick once i hit the 4500 range.

    I'm 6'5, 240lbs and my maintainence is at 3500cals, and I'm currently "clean bulking" on 4000cals, which is a bitch.

    The most rudimentary way to figure out maintenace calories is by taking your bodyweight and multiplying it by 10. But then you have to factor in if you work out etc etc. So for sure at 210 I would say you shouldnt need much over 3000.
