    How many calories? Breakdown?

    Hello all.

    Quick question here. I'm trying to cut, and i'm working on my diet with macros and i'm a little confused. I've read different things different places.

    I am 18 years old, male, 200 pounds, 6 feet tall. I used the harris benedict forumla and got that i should be intaking 3010 calories, with 376g pro, 117g efa, 113g carbs.

    How's that look?

    Cause i was told by someone else who used another forumla (i believe) who said i should be going:

    2000 calories with 240g protein, 110g carbs, 60g fat.

    This is quite a difference, so, i'm confused, HELP!

    Too be honest 3k seems to high and 2k is too low. I'd start at about 2,700 or so and go from there.

    thats what i was thinking. but the benedict formula said i need 3000. hm

    how would i break that down too?

    I'd start off like this:

    55% Pro, 25% Carb, 20% Fat

    ok awesome. now anohter question. if i'm doing the macros for oats, it says that there is 10.8 g fat in oats, what do i count that as?

    if ur trying to cut shouldn't u drop the cals? 3,500cals = 1lb of body fat.. if you take 500cals out of ur diet everyday by working out and burning it or dieting you'll loose 1 lb of body fat every week.

    yeah i am dropping the cals!

    hey can anyone tell me where i can get dextrose? how much to use in a pwo shake? and whats the nutritional info on it?

    you can pick up dex at breweries or any place that sells brewing supplies

    Dextrose: 1/4c = 184 calories, 46g carbs (sugar)

    I don't know what kind of oats you're eating but there is only 3g fat per 1/2c of quaker
