Hello everyone, man this is one heck of a site ya'll got going on here. Alot of my questions have been answered already just by reading some of the threads.Anyways,a little bit about myself. I'm 28,live in North Georgia, and raising my 2 kids by myself.(ex is in prison)I've been in and out of the gym alot since I was 11, the longest duration being just over a year. Like most people, something always comes up that pulls my attention and focus away from the gym.Growing up,my best friends father was our baseball coach. He also happened to be a bodybuilder, former Mr.Tennessee, and a member of the NPC. Most of my knowledge about bodybuilding and dieting came from knowing him, asking questions, and making it a point to be in the gym whenever he was. I learned alot from that man, so needless to say, my knowledge about weight training and dieting is pretty broad. I can remember a time or two where me,my friend and his father were on the topic of steroids. We must have been 14 or 15 at the time, but I can remember exactly what he told us. He said "steroids are not for everyone. There are alot of things to consider before you even think about jamming a pin".He went on to say the three things that that you need to do before you attempt to go down that road is 1)Know the facts, and read, read, read!Get as much info as you can. 2)Build a base. Getting big doesn't happen over night. You need a couple of years of weight training behind you to learn your genetics and how your body reacts to physical stress.3) Make a responsible decision. After I heard that from him, along with a few horror stories,I chose to follow his word and do exactly what he said. And now, 14yrs later,I'm sitting here writing a greeting letter on this site, only after I followed his three steps. So anyway, good to be here, and hopefully I'll achieve my goals and find answers to my questions. I hope everyone else here is achieving their goals as well. J
