I lost a bet at work...a woman there reconed women also had test in there body (i dont know how she knew this or if she even did) but i argued the toss they didnt - but i was wrong women do have small amounts of test in there liver if im correct...

The point of this is the woman i lost the arugment to is a lesbian...she claims that women with slightly higher levels of test than normal are more likely to give birth to a girl who is gay - Could this be true ? Theoretically id say it could be, anyone else heard ov anythign similar

i know that women have a little test as men has a little estrogen but i dont know any details

Women have about 1/10 the testosterone a male has. It is produced in their adrenal glands, and this small amount of test in their blood is responsible for female's; Libido, well-being, bone density, LBM, energy, etc.

Sounds like rubbish to me if the level of estrogen are testosterone in your body determined whether you where hetrosexual or homosexual, then post cycle bodybuilders would turn into queers.

LOL!! Although it may not be quite that simple, there is some research going into studying hormones and brain chemistry and sexual orientation (i'm being poitically correct)!! But I am happy I still enjoy my share of puss after I come off a cycle!!

the body hair (and acne) is most likely the result of high androgens. As for the lesbian thing, tell her it is much more complex than test levels. It also has to do with neurotransmitters, hormone metabolism (maybe), genetics, and things we havnt even discovered yet!!

Actually there are some reasons to believe that fetal exposure to testosterone does affect sexual orientation. There is a genetic disorder where a male fetus' testes fail to produce testosterone during development. Even though the fetus has an Y chromosome, the genes on it need testosterone present before they can be expressed. Typcially these babies are born with female or ambiguous genitalia and have female characteristics. Furthermore testosterone also alters the growth and development of neurons in the brain, so that men and women have subtly different brains. If the levels of test produced by the fetus and/or mother vary during certain key phases of brain development, parts of the brain (say sexual attraction areas) may be 'feminized' while the rest are typically masculine. There have been studies showing that there a weak genetic component to homosexuality. My suspicion is that this is actually a reflection of certain hormonal imbalances/resistance during pregancy running in families.
