    stomach area

hey i have been lifting for about 5 years now and i have always had love handles and belly fat on me..... i used to weight about 280 at one time an realized how fat i was then got down to 195 pounds... i started lifting again and im back up to about 215 or so but i still got that belly fat and love handles.. i have went on a pretty strict diet for about 2 weeks now and it is going good. i have never really went on a diet before like this.. im being disiplined about it... the way i lost all that weight before was kinda starvation.. but i was jus wondering what yall thought would be the best way ago about loosing it so i can get some ideas. i usually lift weights for about a hour and a half then i set in the sauna for 30 minutes.. on friday and saturday i hit the heavy bag... u think i should jus keep doin what im doin or to do more cardio or what? i dont want to loose any more muscle than i have to... i jus want to try to target the belly fat as much as possible.. Do you think my diet and weight training and hitting the bag on the weekend will eventually get rid of it? or should i be doin somethin else?

    You need:

    1) A sterling dietary approach to address your goals.

    2) More fat burning cardio, 6-7 days per week. A sauna or heavy bag don't do anything for lipolysis.

    Nice quote nova.

BigWill i'm in the same boat as you. I've always had excess stomach fat. You need to construct a diet and post it so it can be critiqued. I am starting my 12 week transformation cutting diet tomorrow, check it out in the Diet Forum.

Mod: should this me in the diet forum?

Do you some cardio at 65-70% max heart rate every morning before you eat anything and watch the fat melt away. You must of course have a solid diet also.

I would be real concerned about diet first and foremost man. IF you starved yourself to lose 100 pounds. If you ate like a normal human in a year oless u might gain that and some back. I was a wrestler in college and did starvation diets the whole wa ythrough to lose 15 pounds when I was already at 6% bodfat. BUt when wrestling was over i gained all the weight back plus 35lbs. So be careful
