When pulling the bar up are you going for a straight up 90° on both your elbows aiming for your upper chest? OR are you supposed to keep the bar a little more forward and pull towards your neck?

Try to keep the upper arms at 90 degrees from the torso. The same you would do with bent-over rear delt flyes.
