What is your heart rate while squating?

Just wondering. I was doing higher rep squats last night and after about 7 minutes of warming up I jumped into a 20 repper and caught my breathe for a minute or so and my heart checked my heart rate and it was 220 BPM. My buddy said that is too high but he does not know what intensity is I guess.
