Hi, just joined need some advise on diet and excerise routine

I'm a mom of 2 and want to get into shape by the end of April but don't know where to start. I've been eating 5 small meals a day that are low in fat, carbs and calories. Also, doing at least 30-45 mins of cardio one to two times a day & 30 to 40 min of light weighs and crunches. I just started taking Thermonex 1 tablet one to 2 times a day. I noticed more a little energy but thats it. Its been about 8 weeks and no change except gained a #. What am I doing wrong?

You've made a couple steps in the right direction:

1.Eating smaller meals more frequently... cutting calories
    2.Doing cardio
    3.Being consistent
    4.Adding supplements
    5.Joining AR

Now you've gotta get it better structured.

You need to work out your LBM (lean body mass). You need to work out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) to know how many calories to ingest. That done, you need to allot specific gram amounts of each macronutrient (protein; carbs; fat) inkeeping with your total allowed caloric amount.

    etc.

    My suggestion?

Hit up the diet and workout forums as suggested.

    Read Read Read.

On the short term... try this: Try to exercise nearly daily... 4-5 days per week can be at the gym.. Whereas the other 3-2 days can be outside the gym (walking.. gardening.. playing with the kids etc)

Of the 4-5 days you get to the gym.. dedicate each day to a different body part... and try to get in a cardio session also:

    e.g.

    4 days:

    Day 1: Legs; abs; cardio
    Day 2: Chest; cardio
    Day 3: Back; cardio
    Day 4: Shoulders; arms; cardio
    Day 5: active rest
    Day 6: active rest
    Day 7: total rest

    Good luck.. and Welcome

I was is the same boat. I up'd my cardio sessions to twice a day @ 1.5 hour sessions, I also lifted heavy 5-6 days a week, and I went on a veggan diet with protein supplements, and I started losing 7.5 lbs a week to break the plateau. I was on the verge of breaking if that ?!? scale didn't move.
