    Glucose monitoring with slin?

Im going to try using humalog IM postworkout for my cutting cycle soon. Ive heard of monitoring your blood glucose after slin and carbs to determine if you need more carbs or less carbs. How would one go about doing this exactly. I understand that first you would get your glucose levels upon arising as your base. Then you would measure your glucose after consuming the carbs folowing the slin injection. How long should I wait after consuming the carbs, and what should I like for in the glucose levels? higher, lower or similar to glucose levels in the am. Im asking because I know this is critical when leanung out on slin. Thanx for any help.

80-120 is the normal range, once you comsume carbs you wait 2 hours, then check them again you should be back in that range. If you are higher then normal lower them, lower them slightly.

Thanx JohnnyB, Would this also be using humalog IM, where the slin is out of your system in 1/2 the time.

Let me get this right, I take my shot of sling post workout, immediately consume my carbs and the 2hrs later checl my glucose levels. If they ever go lower than the standard range(let say I use my levels uspon awakening) then that means Im going hypo. If they are higher then i slightly lower my carbs.

I check my every 15min post injection. Your BG levels can be all over the place in no time once you have taken a shot of slin IM. Just because your monitor is showing that your your BG levels are low doesn't mean you will go hypo. Some people can get their BG levels really low and not feel nothing, so everybodys tolorance level is different. A BG monitor is just a device that you can use a "guideline" which will allow you to know how far away from hypo you may be. Only take more carbs in if you feel hypo, not because the monitor says so. I know people that have had their BG levels drop to 60 and they were fine, but generally speaking anything under 80 is low, so as I said, everybody is different.
