I have a bottle of test 250 which I used nearly 9 months ago, there is still about half of it left, it still has about a year till the exp. date, can I still use the rest or should I get rid of it cause I havent used it in so long?

Use it. The expiration date serves a purpose.
Go ahead and use it as long as it was stored somewhat properly.
all medical references say to only use a multi-dose vial for up to 30 days due to possible contamination. now obviously, most folks go beyond that range. however, 9 months is a long time. I might would get some new gear and discard that. Vets/Mods what is your take on this?

Then why do expiration dates exist? Surely, if this were the case expiration dates would be no longer than 30 days. When AS goes beyond its expiration date its still usually good to use. Some potency may be lost, yes. However, its still ok to administer. This is deomonstarted when developed countries export their expired medicines etc...To 3rd world coutries.Originally Posted by HUNTER1

If the mixture contains proper preservatives it will be good to go. Does it? I wouldn't know - you could try and do some in-depth research but I doubt if you will be able to find a satisfying answer.
If you are cash-strapped and desperate I guess you could take the chance...I personally don't use anything that's been 'opened' more than 6 months (my friend is a chemist and he follows the same policy)
When it comes to reconstructed mixtures or insulin then there are no two ways about it - discard after the suggested period regardless.
