My boss is a strict vegetarian and he asked me how he could build mass and get stronger being a vegetarian. I didn't really know what to tell him besides drinking whey a couple times a day. Does anyone know how a vegetarian could build mass?

Um..why would anyone want to be a vegetarian? Does he consume dairy products or no?
haha yeah, i make fun of him all the time for being a vegetarian. He does eat dairy, but he won't eat more than 2 eggs at a time. He's pretty much a wuss... but i'm trying to help him out a little bit.
Won't eat more than 2 eggs at a time? Tell him have fun being small. Vegetarian trying to gain mass is about as likely as a 5' white dude dunking. I guess try the theory with one of these threads around here..like 20 protein shakes a day??
It is very difficult. My friend who introduced me to lifting nearly 15 years ago became a vegitarian after visiting a slaughtering farm. He became quite thin while trying everything to stay bulky. After nearly 3 years he gave up and started eating protein again. He is also big again. He may read this and reply himself, but I know he could not maintain any size. Sorry I do not have any answers but if it were possible I think my friend would have found out how simply because lifting is such a big part of his life.
