If I get sick will the cops get me?

Newbie here. I searched but did not find an answer. Sorry if I missed it.

If I get sick or get an infection from a shot and have to go to the doctor will he tells the cops on me?

That is a interesting question, I would think no but still would like to hear a answer from one of the pro's on this. Besides dude, I would rather get bashed on here for asking a dumb question anyday over not asking at all. There are a few on here that can be pretty harsh but if it gets an answer then it is worth it to me, you learn as you go, as least I have.

my woman is a nurse, said yes in most cases a doc will notify the authorities if you "admit" to it. if they ask, say no, who cares if they really know you did, just deny like hell, also may notify your health insurance and they might drop you as well

Isnt there such thing as doctor-patient confidentiality? I was under the assumption they could not do a thing about it. I am not familiar with American laws though, roids are legal in Canada to use so I dont have to worry.

    In the USq

You doctor may not release info on you treatment to the authorities except under very strict legal guidelines. Even then, your statement to the DR. is probably not sufficient to support a warrant for a search of your house. Be honest with your doc and tell him you want no notations re: you admissions of gear in your file. It's your freakin' medical record and you own it. Dr.s are often ignorat, pompous assholes with very little knowledge regarding gear. Doc Sust......Sorry, there are exceptions.

Actually the doctor/patient confidentiality is suspended if the doctor thinks you might be or can be a harm to yourself. That is how they can get around that, but normally they wil not go to the police, it is a pain in the ass for them and if it goes to court they have to schedule time away from their money making practice to sit in and testify in court. Your odds at getting away form it are very good, including if they ask you do use the b12 shot excuse.

True story.......I swallowed a bottle cap in college........long funny story....short of it was a week latter I doubled over in pain.....had to go to the emergency room. Along with an Xray revealing a bottle cap making its way through my intestines (or whatever).......they did blood work. The doctor came back and basically told me i would $hit the bottle cap. My blood work was way crazy.....everything was elevated. I was honest and told the doctor I was on a cycle.

Besides laughing their asses off that I swallowed a bottle cap, they advised me against using steroids..........but did not even entertain the thought of calling the police. I would not expend any more of your "brain time" on this..... Very unrealistic that they would call the cops.

It is more realistic that you would be able to get him to take blood work going forward........My current doctor does.

Most doctors are there to help you, and there is patient/doctor confidientiality, but I still would not tell them right out that you're using AAS because the patriot act allows any member of law enforcement access to your medical records.

Just tell them you injected b12, they'll write it down in your file as that, even if they know better.

  24. #24
I would think that the doctor has some sort of confendiality code that forbids him from telling this stuff. It might be different when you`re doing something illegal, but I seriously doubt that a doctor is going to tell the cops, after all the law against steroids is stupid and not all that important. In Norway its legal to use (not sell), and even if it wasn`t neither a doctor nor the cops would waste their resources chasing steroid USERS, only big time sellers.

so, if you go in to the ER with an infection in your arm from shooting heroin, do you think the dr has a right to try and protect you?? admit you, confine you, call the authorites??

of coarse he does.. so no, if he wants to know what caused the infection, it was a cut, or you injected b12..

and the GLBA does not protect you from law enforcement..

The doc can NOT tell anyone shit without your consent.
He can NOT report you to anyone.
He can and will report whatever he sees fit to the insurance company. You do have a contract that states that he can with the insurance company.

Also, if you go to the doctor today you will have to sign a document stating who can have access to your record. Its a part of HIPA.

They even had an episode on Sopranos when they used the doctors office as a meeting place since they can't get listen in on a private conversation between a patient and doctor. This goes for a priest by the way.

like roydrage said deny everything. I went in to the hospital for stomach probalems the doctor must have asked me about aas 5 times and i denied it. Then he left and came back in and tried to tell me how his son was big and played football and asked me about 2 more times. I denied everything. Im 23 i dont need health insurance dropping me or my insurance provider telling my parents. With rec drugs they can drop you and refuse to pay your bills either way you loose. Or worse they will turn you in. I mean why was it so important to ask me over 5 times. Turned out I just had high stomach acid and some ulcers, I stopped eating on campus and it went away. My uncle always said "never tell people more than there willing to live with". So deny everything and admit nothing.

as a RN myself, i can tell you that the Dr. or medical staff providing treatment cannot release your medical info to anyone due to the Health Information Portability Protection Act (HIPPA). An MD doing this would result in major consequences for them.

thank you for clearing that up Hunter

My Doctor gives me blood tests. Advice; comes over to my lake house on his speed boat. I tell him everything. He saved my life twice. He keeps me in line.
If he told me to stop. I would. Even my Cardio Doc says Ok, just not continous or abusive. I get blood tests every 6 weeks. If something is going to happen it will show up in blood work in advance. Find a Doctor that looks after you. Hell, my doctor has Tamiflu for my family in case of a pandemic.
