    Cardio Question

    Hello all.
    Ive got a cardio question.
    First off my stats are
    35 yrs old
    6'4
    270 lbs
Lifting on and off for 15 yrs or so.
    ------------------------------------------------
Never used anabolics before. But Im trying to lean down to 260 so I can begin my Test only cycle.
Tomorrow Im gonna start a SERIOUS cardio regimen with hopes of losing 10-15 lbs in 30days.
    My question:
While using the ELLIPTICAL machine am I still getting benefits even if Im not going at it "balls to the wall" with insane intensity?
I was researching the theory of "10%max/80%max/10%max". There is a name for this I think.
    What do u all think.
Also---I plan on cutting the carbs down to almost none.
    Just Tuna/ Chicken/ protein shakes/ water/ veggies/ and some rice.
    Thanks for the help
-The soon to be less fat than I am now guy.

i think you need to do some serious research. DIET is the key to fatloss so post your diet for critique...that would be the smartest way of going about starting this...

    .
This is called "HIIT" , (high intensity interval training.) and it is an effective form of cardio, but I agree with what was stated above, fat loss is a result of a clean diet. Good luck.

That a horrible diet you have outlined. Why cut the carbs? Where are total cals? 10 lbs is possible 15 would be pushing it.

Fast weight loss is rarely permanent weight loss. You must dedicate yourself to this for many months, not just one. If you are too restrictive on your carbs, your metabolism will slow down. Your thyroid requires regular inslulin spikes to maintain it's full function.

i suggest 45 mins of cardio a day on an empty stomach at 65% hr, it will maximize your losses due to cardio, if you do hiit you are cutting too close to loosing muscle, 65%hr will maximize fat loss and minimize muscle loss

    Thanks for the info.
I just read this article on it from Dave Drapers site. Pretty interesting.

Now all I gotta figure out is why to NOT seriously cut down on the carbs.
