Day 47 of no cheats, need advice.

    Endo, 6', 182, 13-14%, cutting (formerly 290 lbs.)

In almost 7 weeks I have had 3 clean refeeds. 2 with 2800 calories and one 5 weeks ago with 3500 calories. I am eating 2150 calories a day with carbs only in pwo (50 grams). I had preworkout carbs up until 4 weeks ago. My strength is holding or falling on lifts but other than that I feel better every day and getting leaner. I do not want to cheat or even clean refeed but id this hurting my goal of keeping as much lean mass as possible. I forget what carbs taste like. I enjoy my egg white peanut butter ommeletes to death and really look forward to chicken before be. What to do? I do cardio at 70-75% EVERy morning and lift monday through friday. Getting 320 protein and about 50 fat a day. Becasue I used to be a fat slob, I feel that cheating, refeeds were the one thing holding back from getting ripped and I am damn dewtermined this time around.

Mike everytime I see you post, you are constantly dieting. You need to give your body a break from restricted cals. It seems as if perhaps you have been dieting for nearly 4-5 months. You simply cannot do that.

I went on a mini bulk from November to January and went to 203 lbs. I did gain some but trying to get rid of the last bit. I am about 2-3 weeks from being the leanest I have ever been. I still have to deal with my lose skin around my waist but I keep dieting becasue I wonder if it is skin or something that can be lost. If I was to cheat or refeed, how much food do you think I can get away with in a matter of about 12-14 hours after 3 weeks of only pwo carbs?

Thanks for the reply Giantz, you have always had good responses for me.

cheating will boost ur metabolism and would be benificial more then hurt you as far as your goals seem.....its good to spice things up once a week or so maybey less depending on ur wants, but i would suggest throwing in atleast a cheat meal a week if u dont feel right doign a cheat day

i guess the biggest issue with this is we don't know if your body is in starvation mode...

that's what it sounds like to me.. as far as losing muscle, the loss of strength is an indicator, but the lose could be from not enough carbs.. period..

Sounds like you have lost some SEROIUS weight. Why not clap yourself on the back and eat at maintainence level for a week. You would gain weight back, but it would be glycogen weight, with the amount of carbs you are eating, your totally depleted. Being in a hypocaloric state is hard on the body. Gives yours the rest it needs and eat well for a week, clean foods, maintainence level. after that week go back at her. I did this once before, and found it helped me tremendously, esp mentally. it's not only hard on the body dieting all the time, it's hard on the mind. You sound very stressed about it, and 184 at 6 feet is not fat. I'd relax a little and take your foot off the pedal. Like i said before, give yourself the pat on the back for losing over 100 pounds!

I agree with everyone else in this thread. Give yourself a break for a day and enjoy food. Long term it wont hurt you and it helps alot mentaly to stay sane.

Thanks for the replys. I have had my weight off for 4 years not and been jerking around at 175-185 pounds for a few years. I just got sick of spinning my wheels and decided to get as lean as possible and start slow for a few years on getting bigger. I lost the weight by having a 4000 calorie cheat day once a week for 10 months, got down to 187 while getting drunk every Saturday. How much fat would I gain if I took Sunday off and punded about 8000 calories of ANYTHING fat free? I would love to have chest day Monday and throw the weights around with all that packed into my muscles.
