Ok, sodium increase water retention. What exactly does sugar do? I know its bad, but does a little a day hurt that much in any diet?

doesnt hurt me, as long as it is the right sugar at the right time!!
Also, what about gatorade...filled with sugar...cant be good to drink is it?
in the hunter gatherer sense of the definition, when hitting the insulin spike from sugar, it will make your body store any ingested fat, so that would be (again in the hunter gatherer sense of the word) bad...
So, sugar in a sense...makes you fat?
Sugar elevates insulin, which reaises blood sugar, which creates a fat storing environment. The blood sugar falls and you are hungry again and will most likey end up over eating. Also sugar can be consumed in large quantities very easily which adds cals to your diet which will also help you get fat.
The key to everything is moderation. And in BB, timin and meal structure.
no, not at all, it depends on your metabolism and what you are going to eat them with. this is the reason guys separate fats and carbs as much as possible, but i mean, i drink skim milk which contains sugar, it is basically a moderation problem. just stay away from very simple sugars (besides PWO) and go for the low GI kinds like oats and brown rice...
and i see "The Man" beat me to that one![]()
lol..yes, yes he did haha...thanks guys!
