Thread: Reconstituting IGF-1?

  1. #1

    Question Reconstituting IGF-1?

Can I use 30 ML multidose vial, non-pyrogenic, sterile water. 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol by Abbott to reconstitute my LRIGF-1? If so, how? I'm used to gettting 1ml already suspended in solution. Thanks for the help.

No you need Acidic Acid or HCl, BW will ruin it

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered some HCL(30ml). How should I reconstitute with it?

what exactly is this hcl that u guys speak of?
i see it on some sites for sale but..its different than acetic acid?

not bac water...but what about straight plain pure sterile water.i was told by an igf producer that this would work for the igf he carried.but to be stored at
2-8C, it can be stored for about 2 weeks.so that would nt do much good if that timeframe is correct anyways

They are different acids ... but the same end result - providing the right PH for the IGF to thrive.

With either of these, it is really important to know the concentration you are dealing with. You certainly don't want to reconstitute with smoking HCl ... and even worse you REALLY don't want to consider injecting that. If you get HCl solution, make sure you are dealing with 10mM. With Acetic Acid solution, make sure it is 100mM which would equate to about 0.6% Acetic Acid, 99.4% sterile water).
The research company that is advertised here has you mixing it in sodium chloride solution. Wouldnt that have an incorrect PH and destroy it?
