I would like to set up a anonymous website...

Hey bros, would like some help from yall.

I would like to setup my own website, and I would like to do it anonymously.

I found a list of webhost that are supposibly off shore and accept e-gold, however, I dont have much faith, and I think they are probably just all paid advertisers.

    http://www.offshore-development.co.u...re_hosting.asp

I really dont know where or how to start, or what areas need to be covered to keep myself safe. All I need is a basic webhost that I can upload a few images and HTML files too. I dont need any scripting or anything fancy like that.

Any input or help would be greatly appriciated

(quick disclaimer: My site is going to have gear recipies, spot injections, UG reviews, gear images, scammer info, source checks, and other info. Do no pm me for a source EVER.)

There are few questions you need to answer first:

    1) Are you going to register for a domain name or no (and of couse, pay for it)?

    2) Are you willing to allow ads to pop up on your site?

I would like a domain name, however with the whoe "whois" deal, that may not be much of an option. I was actually just going to use cjb.net redirection service, since they accept e-gold as a form of payment. Im hoping that the majority of the site's users will come from word of mouth or from forums, much like how get**** or ************** get most of there users/viewers.

No banners or pop-ups, im willing to pay for the hosting. Im hoping to find a research chem site to sponsor me.

This link you provided has very good hosting services. My understanding is that you are not planning for e-commerce, scripting (e.g. forums) etc, and in this case you don't have to worry about safety too much. Just don't give your admin password to any one and you are safe. I'd be concerned about one thing: how long the server is usually down every year for maintenance etc? and you can get the answer from the site/system admin. Try to find a server that guarantees minimal down time (zero if possible), even if you have to pay a bit more.

I had also seen a site that provides free hosting with guaranteed zero down time if you buy the domain name from them, which costs about $24. I'll try to find it and let you know.

Let me know if you have any other questions

there are "pre-paid" credit cards that can be purchased at drugstores in the U.S., you can buy one and put any name you like on it and use it to pay for any fees that are required for setting up your web site. good luck

Thats a good point, I always forget about that! Great thought breacherup!

Another concern for me is my site getting closed or shut down, due to the sensitive subject of the site. Where is the limit as far as illegal activity? And can I protect myself with disclaimers, such as "For role playing purposes only"

Thats another reason why i was strongly considering one of the providers listed in the above link, They claim to be overseas.

Looking around im getting overwhelmed by all the different services, and all the crap they include that I dont even need.

    Any fresh new ideas?
