    Anyone do Squat-Lifts?

Hey do any of you use a trap bar in your workout. I just ordered a trap bar from elite fitness and I am going to start doing trap bar "squat-lifts" (combination of squat and deadlift) on leg day. When doing squat lifts with this bar, you are in a more natural position than when you are doing deads or squats. Therefore, there is a lot less stress on your lower back and knees.

I have used the trap bar in college. It allows you to maintain a more upright torso which allows you to stress the quadriceps more. If you desire more work for your hip extensors (glutes and hams), deadlifts would be a superior exercise. The torso is at approximately a 45 degree angle (depending on the technique you use). This will also place more stabilizing requirements on the lower back. It is a nice training tool for tool for shrugs, as well. It allows you to shrug with your hands in a neutral grip. You you have the choice of traditional, behind-the back, and, now, trap bar shrugs.
