Exclamation Educated Minds, Lypolysis and AAS????

A question I'm not sure can be answered for certain, but would like to hear any viewpoints you may have. Not sure whether this belongs in the anabolic forumn or dieting forumn though.

Lypolysis is the release of FFA’s into the bloodstream. To oxidize them, you need to be doing something before they are re-formed back into triglycerides and deposited as fat again. So cardio is done to maximize results. But here’s my question. What about lifting during lypolysis? Is it possible to still burn fat? My first thought was since the principle fuel of anaerobic exercise is glycogen, lypolysis would be blunted. But what if you were in a glycogen depleted state? I would assume that the body would then start breaking down muscle for glucose as energy; glucogenesis. But what if the subject in question was taking anabolics????

I'm thinking the anti-catabolic nature of most anabolics would make it extremely difficult for glucogenesis to occur.

    Please discuss……….

Anabolics or not, you will not have anything to meet enegy demands and you will burn muscle tissue as that will be the only thing available. Lifting doesn't blunt lyppolysis as a matter a fact it greatly increases it. The body run on homeostasis, so when you are performing a glycogen dependant exercise such as weights. At rest and for up to 24hr's afterwards Fat oxidation goes way up. Which is why weights are so great for weight loss.
