Thread: Weight training at 6:30am on an empty stomach?

    Wink Weight training at 6:30am on an empty stomach?

    First off i have checked the stickies and found Rambo diet to lose weight and bodyfat.

    I plan to follow this right now and split my cardio and weight training so that they are not on the same day.

    The thing is that in is great post it says to train on an empty stomach to get maximum fatloss, i have no problem doing that.

    I will be training 3 times a week on weights and 2-3 times a week on low intensity cardio, i know that after cardio my PWO will be composed of whey protein and some flax oil not to stop my lipolisis and after weight training its gonna be whey and dextrose to maximize recuperation.

    Question here is should i eat something on the days i weight train in the morning or should i do the same thing train on an empty stomach?

    This is for maximum fat loss of course.

    The gym where i am is way to croweded at night and i really dont want to be in line to do some bench press, but in the morning its pertty empty.

    Eat something on weight training days. Pro/carb...oats & eggs or oats & a lean meat...something like that otherwise you'll just be dead tired.

    agreed. I personally don't like lifting on an empty stomach (even when I have to lift first thing in the am)

    Lifting on an empty stomach? Where is your energy gonna come from.....you nedd fresh calories to burn

    Down a small shake and head to the gym. Thats what I do every saturday and sunday. I love working out first thing. Im always strong and explosive. Working out in the evening after a few meals makes me feel slughis and tired.

    But atlest have some aminos running around before you hit the weights.

    Could i just drink a whey protein shake?, i need something that digest quick cause i wake up and go straight to the gym.

    Thanks for the info guys, i been training for a long time but details like this can make all the difference.

    So a shake without any flax oil ? or should i add some flax oil?

    I know when i start training i will be using AMP 3 times a week so i should have plenty of energy for my weight training sessions.

    Since cardio is low intensity i dont think i would need a stimulant to do it.

    better to make it a whey and oats shake. Carbs are very anti catabolic. But dont down to much so it makes you sluggish.

    oatmeal in the morning first thing.....add in apples or bananas or something....oatmeal allows more test in your bloodstream, awseome breakfast before a lift

    Try blending dry oats into your whey shake if you want to down it fast without the tastes of oats.

    I've been lifting 3-4x a week, then performing cardio for 30-45 min after lifting for a month now... i do cardio, daily. everything on an empty stomach. i've lost fat. 3lbs per week..

    i only have time to hit the gym once a day, and in the morning... but i still want to do cardio, daily...

    so, should i drink a whey shake with some oats, than lift weights? can i continue to do cardio, afterwards (65-75% mhr)?

    Bro I'm in the same exact boat your in, I train early in the morning and always on a empty stomach, but I'm also taking fat burners which give me energy. I've trained on a empty stomach before with out the fat burners and it wasn't that bad. I'm still strong and all you just have to get use to it. I'm planing on doing cardio am and trying to get my work outs in at night but I'm still in the process of scheduling that because of work and the gym is to packed at night.

    manwhore its better to consume some carbs and protein pre workout. It will prevent any catabolism from workout while fasting. I dont mean a big meal I just mean slam a small shake and hit the gym.

    yeah he means that. Eating a big meal one hour before a squat day will make you sic. Its better to have a big meal 2 hours before squat day.

    You know you add a good sets of squats when you feel nausea after the exercice.

    OUCH and i guess that what he meant.

    Squats work the entire body.

    BTW mixing oatmeal with shake sounds good i will give this a try when i start training again real soon.

    Hell i feel sick on squat day anyway, regardless of how much, what, or when i eat. i guess it's pushing yourself that far that makes you sicky!
