With respect to Sonar, it was worth every penny. Sure there were some crappy matches, but that happens. Overall it was definitely an experience.
I watch UFC for real, visceral action and I watch WWE to have a combination of that and entertainment. I've gotten out of team sports, so everyone else can have their football. Besides, wrestlers have more frequent and serious injuries than any other type of sport in the world, including the NFL. Entertainment or no, the moves and bumps are real and it's an extremely dangerous career to be in.
But back to WM! Had to rant a little b/c of some previous posts I saw
Triple H has a semi-new intro theme now before his "The Game" music kicks in, and it debuted at WM. Imagine this starting up with skulls on the screen and at the end transitioning to his normal music (he's now "The King of kings", btw). If this doesn't get your adrenaline going, nothing will:

And in case anyone's interested, here's a review I made on another site in case you wanna see what the matches were. If anything, read the WWE CHAMPIONSHIP review at the bottom, HHH vs. Cena. Very..interesting:
I thought this was a great WM. A couple bad ones aside, WM seems to always have a chance of not being near as good as certain regular PPVs. Overall I thought it went very well.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Kane/Big Show vs. Masters/Carlito. Not a classic but not bad. A good way to start the show, and I enjoyed it. Kane surprised me a couple times, which is always a good thing considering his gimmick has dulled somewhat.

EDGE VS FOLEY - HARDCORE MATCH: I knew it wouldn't be possible to top his match when he fought Orton last year (I think it's one of the best of all-time), so I tried to put that out of my head. Without making comparisons (as in knowing full well Mick would counter and put Edge into the tacks) it was pretty darn good. Flaming table at a WM of all places, who woulda thought? Edge spearing Foley out the ring and into the table was incredible. I think Foley partly wanted to go all out himself, of all places at WM, with something he could be proud of, and I think he accomplished that.

MONEY IN THE BANK: This match stole the show by far. Amazing moves and bumps. Shelton once again showing that he's the most talented athlete in the business, and all the respect to him for it (the leap onto the ladder, as simple as it was, was even amazing.."He's like a cat!" - King) RVD winning was just icing on the cake. It's all a blur to me now because there were so many great moments. Maybe someone else can detail the match for those who missed it. Very much one I'll watch time and again once it's on DVD.

US CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Benoit vs. JBL. Meh. It was decent, but certainly not PPV caliber, let alone WM. Good "restroom and trip to the fridge for snacks" time.
- 6/10 -
BOOGEYMAN VS BOOKER: I said meh above, but this was horrid. The gimmick is all the boogeyman has, and he's proven it here again. It's a shame Booker had to be wasted on something like this. This is the crap that makes the WWE look bad.

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Good match. I was actually impressed for once and they did well. It was great hearing the fans turn on Trish. JR and King made some interesting observations and I think they were partly right. Even with Mickey's psycho gimmick, I think fans liked the idea of rooting for a chick who was in love with another chick lol. After being shunned the way she did, many fans decided to back Mickey. Funny. Other than Mickey screwing up on the ropes at the end, the atmosphere also added to the match and made it even better.

VINCE MCMAHON VS HBK, NO HOLDS BARRED: I personally enjoyed Hogan vs. McMahon's hardcore match more, but this one was still pretty damn good. That leap off that huge 20-foot ladder was amazing. I actually worried for Vince for a minute there. If you watch the slow-mo replay, HBK's elbow slammed right into his face through the trash can. No matter how you pull it, from that height, ouch.

UNDERTAKER VS HENRY: Well, it was ok. Keep in mind I'm comparing it to the stink-fest that he had with Kane at WM20. Considering that, I'm rating it higher than I normally would, in addition to the fact that Taker pulled a Kane and made an out of character move with that flying leap, which was pretty impressive. And to hold Henry's weight when doing the Tombstone was remarkable. I sincerely hope this is the last of Henry. Normally I'd give it a 6, but taking into account what I mentioned above..

PLAYBOY PILLOW FIGHT: I can honestly say this is when I took my time to grab some food and do a little housework. I didn't even watch because it's all fluff (no pun intended) and I'm just not interested. There are other things to get me going if I'm in the mood for that kind of thing lol.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio. I really wanted this match to last longer, like the Triple-Threat at WM20. I have to mark down a little because of it's length. That aside, some great moves by everyone. I'm a little surprised to hear Rey get boo'd so much, though it's understandable. I like that they kept to Angle's dominance in the ring, and he never once was made to look like an idiot. He dominated every chance he had. But the nature of the Triple-Threat gives even the biggest underdog a chance, and that's how Rey got it. I have no problems with it even though I'm a huge Angle fan. Let's just see if they're smart enough to not let him keep it for long, or we'll have fans turn on him like they did Cena, which he doesn't deserve. For while it lasted, a good match.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: Triple H vs. John Cena. Oh man, here we go. First, the entrances. Loved HHH's intro before his entrance, except for one thing. That damn crown on his head. Everything else was great, but the crown was too over the top with that enormous iron cross. I kept hoping he would take it off before doing the water spout, but no. Cool ass intro, rising up and sitting on that throne with the new music playing and the skulls and battles and blood on the screen above.
As far as Cena..I liked the idea of what they did since they were in Chicago, but it just didn't come off well. I liked the history part, but the gangsters coming out with machine guns, and Cena in a trench with a Tommy gun? Give me a break. As "gimmicky" as he was before, this is the last thing he needed. I'm not sure which was worse, this one or the flying saucer entrance.
Now to the match. Wow, what an atmosphere. You could tell they were trying to mute the crowd as much as they could, but with my surround system I could hear it crystal clear. The "**** you Cena" (normally I censor myself, but hey, this was heard around the globe) chants shocked the hell out of me. Ross - "Some rather unflattering chants from the crowd that I won't repeat here" lol. And King trying to say they were saying Cena sucks when that was clearly what they weren't chanting.
Good but not great. I definitely enjoyed myself because of what it was. I really liked the start of the match, the slow buildup. This didn't work for Goldberg vs. Lesner, but it worked here. The crowd was just so into it they ate it up. Nothing really stood out too much, and I hate to say it's because it was Cena, because HHH can carry almost anyone. But regardless of my feelings on Cena, I feel he didn't break through to the next level like he needed to at WM to try and quiet the haters. He had every chance to shine here, and yet again we saw the same old tired move set he's always shown. They made a few good unexpected turns, like HHH getting up at the last second before Cena could do the 5-knuckle, and getting what he deserved after trying to pump his Reeboks, but it could have been better.
Yes, I'm extremely disappointed that HHH didn't win. At least he wasn't counted out by the F-U. That would have been the ultimate slap to the face to the fans, the business, tradition, and so much more. At least if HHH had to lose, he did the way he did after passing out and fighting a submission. But again, Cena didn't do nearly what he needed to, to deserve the win. It wasn't as obvious as Cena's other matches, but it was still apparent that HHH laid down for him. And whether you're a Cena fan or a hater, that just plain sucks. But taking into account the good pacing and the crowd and energy in the arena..

Not counting the pillow fight which I didn't bother watching, overall a very good WM, and I can't wait for the DVD set.
