    Pain in my Left Elbow...

Yesterday as I was doing shoulders I noticed a pain on the outside of my elbow, but it wasnt to serious, it was kinda of a burning pain, like joint pain I guess...a burning sensation sort of and a little bit of tightness...So then Today i was doing arms and after my very first set of tricep crushers, after doing bi's, this pain was so bad I had to stop my lift after my second set of crushers...Whats the deal here? Don't sat tendonitis cause I will be livid, haha...I hope it goes away, also, I don't see how it could be too serious seing how it jsut came on and I haven't had any problems up to this point...

stop the skull crunchers, probably the cause of the pain, they KILL the elbow joints.

Yeah I agree with that, but at the same time I said that I noticed it abit the day before doing shoulders, sooo....I'm gonna rest it, do my back on monday as usual, and hopefully the two days of rest will be good enough

my first set of skull crushers i nearly scream in agony because of the pain in my left elbow. However, after my first set the pain almost completely subsides, even when i increase the weight on the following sets. I can feel a little tendon on the point of my elbow, im almost positive thats what is causing the pain. i don't really know what else to do other than stop doing skull crushers or work through the pain in the first set. i chose the latter, but im not suggesting you do the same.

I hear ya brother...Well i should clarify that they are ez bar laying crushers, so laying french curls...But yeah I'm going to lift back today which isn't any pushing motions, only pulling, and then chest tomarrow, so we will see how that goes...

    This is me!

Skull Crushers are one of my favorite workouts. I've never found anything that works my tricepts as good. Until the pain came three weeks ago. Now I don't know what to do. I hope I can get back to Skull Crushers soon or find a new tricept workout that I really like.

As a side note, the pain came at the end of a Superdrol Cycle. Maybe I got stronger than my elbow was ready for.

I've dropped isolation movements as I feel they are very hard on the joints.
When I lift extremly heavy on my core movements I feel my joints and secondary muscles get enough stress put on them. Also seen growth in my arms and I have only trained them once/month for the last 3months. My joints are thanking me.

I honestly believe I ruined my left elbow just by doing skulls as part of my tricep workout for 3 months. I got warm each time and there wasn't a lot of pain, but now the joint is as slack as an old woman. Appears to be radiocapitellar related in my case, grinding locking and popping etc. But I think the ulnar collateral ligaments on the medial side are also destroyed from a previous elbow injury... SUCKS

i found that doing skull crushers with dumbells a little lighter weight alows me to still do the movement with less pain, it works for me, but it may not work for everyone.i only do 3 set of 12 reps once a wk with that particular movement, the rest of tri work i do close grip, board presses, rack lockoutsand thats about it
