    Push-ups/pull Ups

    is it ok to do push ups through out the week or is there no need because of the good work out i give chest once a week? same with pull ups, if i trash my back on back day would it be bad to work some pull up sets when doin some other body part at the gym?

    i do pull ups every day but not sure if it ok.

    well would you bench everyday or do lat pulldowns everyday with light weight?

    same thing pretty much, just lighter. jsut all depends, sure its possible to end up overtrained, its a relative question. i wouldnt reppin them out the day after you do a really heavy workout though, unless your just getting some blood moving and doing it really easy

    I might do pushups sometime throughout the week or pullups if I feel like I need to warm that area up but never very many maybe 4-5 just enough for a stretch really

    Help me with this. What is your goal? To get the blood flowing? Speed recovery by getting some blood in there? Then it may not be bad if your body feels up to. When I do my back, I don't want to do pull ups for a while, but if I really trashed it, I may to some easy lat pulls to help recovery.

    If you are trying use them to build, the answer is probably no.

    do a search for articles by Ian King. he has a great one called "Old School Mass Building" he talks about how you should rest so much more than you think to get big. i say skip em....
