    Coffee as a filler/energizer?

I used to live with a BB that drank a lot of coffee. He said it helped keep his appetite in check and kept him running throughout the day, his days usually went from early morning (7/8a.m.) until sometimes 2 0r 3 a.m the next day.

Just wondering if it's something I should be consuming less of or incorportaing it into my diet daily, or maybe this is a personal choice topic?

    Thanks!!

Going from 7 am to 3 am is crazy.... sleep is a must for growth (at least for me). 4-6 hours just seems like so little.

I think that's one of my biggest set backs with school being a top priority with growing second.... summer is right around the corner.

I know I've read a lot of members drink cofffee.... just make sure there is no sugar obviously.

Some coffee/tea will not be a problem ..however you should have plain old water making up most of your liquids for the day..

    good luck

I am a coffee lover. However...I don't consume more than 2 cups of the stuff a day.

I enjoy it after a meal as I feel it helps to break down food a little better. And ya know how sometimes you can feel like a slug after eating? I think it helps kill that "wow, I REALLY need a nap" feeling.

If you are a person who seems to always have a boost of energy flow through you at all times, I would say it's not really necessary to drink coffee, as it could cause unwanted side affects.

Well, anyway, you can find a lot of info on the subject here: http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-...dybuilding.asp

Hm, yes quite... good points guys. I'd rather eat a smallish amount of protein instead ... but sometimes I want the coffee.. especially Timmies...Mmm. Just wasn't sure if it was being used purposely to fill space in stomachs or not.. and if there would be a benefit to that.. considering how imortant it is to consume the proper amount of food daily.
I think I'll try to keep it to a minimum anyhow...

    Cheers!

Drink green tea - it's a diuretic (helps lose weight) and it also has caffeine in it for a little bit of a pump
