When i went to NYC for a week a couple years back, I saw it on broadway and loved it. Just curious to know if any of you have seen it on broadway. I know they made a movie about it, but it doesn't compete with the real thing

I havn't seen it in NYC but i've seen it a few times live in houston (we have a pretty big arts community here) ... you are right though... the movie doesn't even COMPARE to live. That and both movies didn't have the best singers...they were casting for better acting / appareance

I saw it in Pantages Theater in Toronto back in 95' -- really good!
