After that, you run down the outside fire escape and you have to hit this lead weight on a track with a rubber hammer and get it to a certain distance. Then you carry a charged hoseline over your shoulder for about 100 ft. or so and set it down, then last you have to either carry or drag this 170 lb dummy another 100 ft. and your done. I'll tell you how pathetic it was, they even had a nylon strap that you had the option of using to drag the dummy(yeah right, like your going to do that in a real rescue situation!! and most people are fatass 300lb people and not no 170 lbs!!!) Anyways, we had a whole 7 minutes to do all of this shit, I completed it in 2 minutes, 35 seconds. If you couldnt accomplish all of that in 7 minutes you were a real ****ing pussy, that's all I have to say. In my honest opinion, half of the people who were in my recruit class shouldn't have even been there. But when your done with all the training and bullshit, I will say that you have one of the coolest jobs in the world.
