    rear delts on fire

when i do flat or incline flyes my rear delts feel like they are on fire. my chest burns but i sometimes feel like i could get another rep if my delts werent smoked.

does anyone else have this prob? and am I doing something wrong to cause this or is there something i should do to prevent this?

you sure you mean your REAR deltoids, and not your FRONT deltoids? i had this problem with front delts before, was overtraining my shoulders bigstyle. maybe thats where your problem lies

what you may be doing is coming down so low with the flyes that you're squeezing down hard on those rear delts on the bottom of the movement.

do you really bend those elbows on this movement? if so, i'd try to keep them a little less bent on the excercise. i know sometimes i get that feeling in my rear delts, but it's from the squeeze they get when i come down too far. seems like you have the same problem.

i can't give you the answer to that cause that all depends on your flexibility. first, you want to try to see if what i said is actually your problem. simple way to do this is next time you do the flyes, keep the elbows bent less than 45 degrees and don't bring the elbows past the shoulders. this should limit the range enough that if squeezing the rear delts is the problem, it will be eliminated. if that works, then you have to slowly work your way down to see how far you can go without the problem occuring.

the problem has been solved. i just didnt bend my elbows as much and lightened up the wieght and no burning in my rear delts. i also pushed my chest up a lil, kinda arched my back somewhat and i felt a major difference. thanks for everyone's help and advice
