    Trail Mix ok?

I've been eating small amounts of trail mix here and there to keep me going throughout the day. It's all natural, no salt. I was told it was ok to eat but I have a feeling this isn't a good idea while cutting.

It has raisins, sesame seeds, dried prunes, coconut flakes (unsweetened), peanuts, almonds, raw cashews, dried apple pieces. And again, no artificial flavours, sweeteners or salts ..

I'm worried about the fat content and the pro/fat/carb mix. Would it be significant enough to jeopardize my progress?

It sounds like it has some good healthy fats in it but don't the raisins, apples and prunes have some sugar in them? If so then probably not the best idea but in small amounts it probably won't hurt. If most of the protein is from the nuts then I wouldn't even count that as a protein source as the protein in nuts is incomplete and isn't a good source. Oh bye the way, I LOVE Brooke Burke!

I wouldnt be snacking if your cutting ... stay on a diet regimen of 6 meals a day .. if your not, I would select all organic raw dried fruits and nuts...

    good luck..

Ditto. As far as trail mix, 'them shits is delicious' But I'd never eat it again unless I was breaking. Shouldn't mix fruits and nuts on a regular basis, ecspecially when cutting.

If you already have some fast metabolism that little of sugar isn't going to hurt you. As for me, I couldnt do it because my body reacts to EVERYTHING I put in it. It sucks...

My body is the same way, I have to be very careful... besides, with tasty trail mix around I have no discipline in staying away from it... so I guess it's best just to nix it altogether and stick to my 6 meals/day.

Some days I'm ok with the meals, and others I'm more hungry and seem to be looking for extra things to eat... weird.

Mmmm.... chocolate. At least I think Mmm... I can't really remember all that well..haha.

On a side note... just after reading some stuff, thought I'd better ask. Is having two protein shakes a day too much if I'm trying to lose bf and lean up? I usually have one after my morning caridio and then at some point in the eveing, either after a work out or before bed...

Opinions vary on this ... but I often have my clients make 2 meals a shake... I try not to have em do more than that however... but today's busy schedules may need some quick fixes..

Hm... ok thanks. Because with the 2 shakes I'm eating about 6 times a day, occassionally 7 but that's only if I have a crazy work out day or just happen to be extra hungry that day.. but 6 for the most part.. of course these aren't large meals... very small in faact, enough to fill me...
